Trash Menagerie
The mission of the Peabody Essex Museum is to celebrate outstanding artistic and cultural creativity by collecting, stewarding and interpreting objects of art and culture in ways that increase knowledge, enrich the spirit, engage the mind and stimulate the senses.
Trash Menagerie explored the art of recycling and participation in hands-on activities designed to unleash the creative possibilities lurking in everyday objects. In the right hands, even trash can be beautiful! Trash Menagerie presented over 30 whimsical animals created from things most of us simple throw away.
