The Power of Prejudice: The Dreyfus Affair offered an in-depth historical exhibition which examined the infamous treason case of Captain Alfred Dreyfus, a Jew in the French army during the late 1800s. One of the most notorious cases of criminal injustice in history, the case ignited furious international debate and deeply divided France for years. The Dreyfus story was told through documents, artifacts, photos, letters and films. The layering and spinning of paper helped to remind viewers that this case was the world’s first trial by media.
